Du Juan, born in Shanxi and picked up the violin at the age of 3 under her father. By 14 she switched to the viola .In 2010 she won the the third prize of the HongKong International Young Musician of the Year. In September 2013 she won the Xinghai Cup national Viola Competition organized by the Xinghai Conservatory of Music. At the same year, she was the semifinalist of the Stulberg International String Competition.

In 2014 she won a full Bachelor’s scholarship to study at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. She is currently studying with Mr. Ivan Chan. She had participated summer sessions includes Morningside Music Bridge, Kent/Blossom Music Festival and Meadowmount School of Music. She also participated New York String Orchestra Seminar in 2017. In 2018, Her quartet won the second prize of the Shanghai international chamber competition and in the same year, she was the quarterfinals of the Primrose International Viola Competition.

In 2019, she was employed as the associate principal violist of Hangzhou philharmonic orchestra.

Du Juan debuted at PRISM Chamber Music Festival in 2018, with PCMF Ensemble-Collective in Steve Reich’s Eight Lines.
