Solomon Lau

conductor


Solomon is an active choral conductor and singer in Hong Kong. Having studied at the University of Oxford as an organ scholar of Trinity College, a conducting scholar in Schola Cantorum of Oxford, and a Jardine Foundation scholar, he returned to work in Hong Kong upon graduation, and have performed as a conductor with Die Konzertisten, Die Jungen Konzertisten, and Tallis Vocalis. He has previously studied conducting with Ralph Allwood and James Burton, organ with Steven Grahl, and participated in choral conducting masterclasses by Jo-Michel Scheibe and Thomas Holm. He is also an Associate of the Royal College of Organists.


Solomon Lau debuts at PRISM Chamber Music Festival in 2019 with Die Konzertisten, performing works by Douglas Guest, William Harris, Gustav Holst, Ricahard Rodney Bennett, James MacMillan, Herbert Howells and Hubert Parry.
